Chief Arika Carr

Chief Arika Carr began her career in law enforcement in 2010.  During her career, she has worked as a Patrol Officer, Patrol Sergeant, Administrative Sergeant, Community Liaison. Her dedication to the community and pro-active approach to community policing are an asset to the department and to keeping the City of Arcola safe.

I believe that teamwork between the community and the police is essential, and this goal can be achieved with effective communication. With mutual respect, trust and pride in our organization, and by using traditional values and innovative techniques, we can ensure the community’s right to a safe and crime free environment.

The purpose of the Arcola Police Department is to provide a safe, attractive and well-maintained community through quality law enforcement services and programs.
